Children, adolescents, and adults completing an ADHD, cognitive, or educational assessment where there are concerns that Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) may also be contributing to their presentation. Autism screening is completed when clinically indicated and helps determine whether a comprehensive autism assessment may be appropriate.

The length of an assessment depends on the referral question and the type of assessment being completed. During your initial consultation, your psychologist will explain the assessment process, expected timeframes, and what to expect at each stage.

No. You can book an assessment directly without a referral. However, if you are hoping to claim a Medicare rebate or require documentation for another service, your psychologist can discuss the appropriate referral pathway with you.

Yes. Every assessment includes a comprehensive written report summarising the assessment findings, conclusions, and personalised recommendations.

Yes. Once your report has been completed, your psychologist will meet with you to explain the findings, answer any questions, and discuss appropriate recommendations and next steps.

Some components of an assessment, such as the initial interview and feedback session, may be completed via telehealth. However, many standardised assessment measures require in-person administration to ensure the validity and reliability of the results.
